How to Choose a Raised Toilet Seat
Clip-on seats, height options and why a secure fit matters more than you'd think.
How much height do you need?
Raised toilet seats typically add 5–15 cm of height, reducing how far someone has to bend to sit or how hard they have to push to stand. If knee or hip movement is quite limited, a taller option paired with armrests may help more.
Check it fits your toilet bowl
Most clip-on seats fit standard round or elongated bowls, but it's worth checking the bowl shape and any stated compatibility before ordering, especially for less common toilet designs.
Make sure it locks on securely
A wobbly raised seat can be more dangerous than none at all. Look for models with secure clamping brackets, and recheck the fit after the first few uses.
